Rural Development Co-ordination

The chief directorate is responsible for facilitating and coordinating planning, implementation, monitoring, and reporting on rural development initiatives and programmes by various spheres of government and key stakeholders through the Intergovernmental Relations Framework Act, 2005 (Act No. 13 of 2005) and the District Development Model (One Plan). It also supports integrated spatial planning, land use management and economic integration.
